A New Player In the Camp Chair Game!

Watch out, there’s a new player in the camp chair game! Yep, we’ve arrived, seems now formally. Feels good, you’re welcome.

Sure, we’ve sold thousands of camp chairs, and we've been around now for a bit over 3 yrs, but we’re still a small fish in a big pond. In amongst the OZtents, OZtrails and Coleman's we're easy to miss. It’s not our goal to ever be found in Anaconda or BCF, because we like niche and we value quality over quantity, specification over price point. We don’t make a lot of noise so unless you’ve seen us at a camping show, found us online, or seen one of our chairs out and about it’s safe to assume you’re one of many who have no idea who Tuff Arse Camp Chairs is.

Well, maybe not so much anymore, because now we’ve caught the eye and been reviewed by one of Australia's top off road magazines; 4x4 Australia. As more of our chairs are seen around, more outdoorsy types are catching on - so those in the know, now seem to know ;) Careful what you wish for you though as this means we have to start taking ourselves more seriously! What started as a passion to simply make better camp chairs is now a growing business that needs to keep up with demand. 1st world problems we agree, and the plus side is it now allows us to develop some really cool new chairs that we’ve been dreaming about doing for a while.

In the meantime, check out the 4x 4 review of the Trunk chair and see where we’re at, we’re stoked to say we passed with flying colours! Having the guys at 4x4 Australia Mag put a couple of Trunk 2.0’s through their paces was fantastic as the mag has been around for years and their testers really know their stuff, they put products properly through the wringer before they post gear reviews. The guys are serious off road enthusiasts and when they test camp chairs, they test ‘em in tough conditions that are probably more extreme than what most people would ever put their own camp chairs through. So to come out with a top review was a testament to the no compromises approach we take when we design our chairs, it’s not idle chatter to say we put specification and quality ahead of profit margin.
